WASHINGTON, DC 20 May 2008 - Rider Levett Bucknall, an international construction cost consulting firm, is pleased to announce that Robert Giles has joined the firm and will serve as the Resident Manager of the Washington, DC office. Mr. Giles has 32 years international experience in all areas of project management, cost estimating, cost planning, cost control, claims analysis and value engineering for the construction industry.
With previous employment, Giles oversaw the preparation of construction cost estimates for State Department projects in excess of $800 million and managed the preparation of construction cost estimates for Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) hospitals at Philadelphia, PA and Clarksburg, WV as well as budgets for repair to all twenty-nine VA hospitals in the Northeast and Midwestern states and throughout Florida and Puerto Rico.
Giles has performed work for many other federal government agencies and departments throughout his career, among them the National Institutes of Health, NASA, NAVFAC, Air Force, GSA, USPS, Army, the Smithsonian Institution, and the Department of Defense.
